Crayon Coloring Pages: Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 October 2026 · Applies to: Crayon Coloring Pages version 2.0 and later on iOS and Android (com.dunkare.crayoncoloringpages). Older versions are covered in the last section.

The short version

  • No account needed. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • Your artworks stay on your device. We never upload them.
  • Ads appear only in grown-up mode when we turn them on. They come from Google AdMob. Kids mode never shows ads.
    • Ads are personalised only if you allow it: the consent form where the law requires one, and "Allow" on Apple's tracking prompt.
    • Otherwise you see non-personalised ads.
    • Buying "No ads" or "Crayon Premium" removes banners and full-screen ads.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. The app remembers on your device which products you own.
  • Notifications are optional. If you turn them on, our server keeps a notification token and a random install code so it can send them. You can turn them off at any time.
  • No other tracking. The app has no analytics tools and no third-party crash reporting.
  • Photos: the app only adds a finished picture to your photo library when you tap Save to Photos. It never reads your photos and never uses the camera.

What the app stores on your device

  • Your artworks: the pages you color, your strokes and fills, and thumbnails, all in the app's private storage.
  • Your settings: the mode (Kids or Grown-ups), favorite topics, language, tool choices and recent colors.
  • What you unlocked: the products you bought or restored, and the pages unlocked with a rewarded ad or a starter credit.
  • Counters that keep ads polite: for example, how many pages you finished and when the last full-screen ad showed.
  • Caches: downloaded pages, thumbnails and the catalog, so the app opens quickly and works offline.

None of this leaves your device, except as described below. Deleting an artwork in My Art removes it, and uninstalling the app removes everything. Purchases come back with Restore Purchases.

When you update from an earlier version, the app copies your existing artworks into the new library on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere during this step.

What reaches our server

The app talks to our catalog service at api-game.3sweb.site. It asks for the home screen, categories, search results and coloring pages, and for its settings (such as whether ads or notifications are on). Each request carries:

  • your IP address, which every internet request reveals;
  • the platform (ios or android), the app version and build number;
  • your preferred language;
  • your search words, when you search;
  • your device's local date, so that "today's page" matches your day.

These requests carry no account, advertising identifier or device identifier.

If you turn notifications on, the app also sends our server:

  • a random install code that the app made up (not a device identifier);
  • the notification token from Apple (or Google);
  • whether you want notifications;
  • the app version and build, your language and your time-zone offset, so that messages arrive in your language at a reasonable hour.

When you tap a notification, the app tells our server which message you opened. You can switch notifications off in the app or in your device settings; the app then tells our server that you opted out.

The server uses all of this only to run the app: to deliver content and notifications, to limit abuse and to fix problems. Technical logs may keep IP addresses for a short time for security and troubleshooting. We don't sell or share this data, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.

Our server runs on infrastructure from our hosting provider, which processes these requests on our behalf.

Ads (Google AdMob)

Ads appear only in grown-up mode, only when we switch them on, and never in Kids mode or in the coloring editor. There are three kinds:

  • a small banner on library screens;
  • an occasional full-screen ad after you finish a page;
  • optional "watch an ad to unlock" videos, which you start yourself.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google's SDK collects data from your device, under Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and its partner policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). This data includes:

  • device and app information;
  • the advertising identifier, if you allow it;
  • your IP address, from which an approximate location can be inferred;
  • interactions with ads.

Your choices:

  • In the EU, UK and similar regions, a consent form from Google asks for your choices before personalised ads.
  • On iPhone and iPad, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ads may use your advertising identifier. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", it isn't used.
  • Without consent or permission, ads are non-personalised.
  • On Android, the app doesn't use the advertising ID.
  • Buying No ads or Crayon Premium removes banners and full-screen ads. Rewarded ads remain an optional way to unlock a page for free.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by the App Store (or Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't receive your name or payment details. The app learns which products you own from the store and stores that on your device. Restore Purchases asks the store again.

Permissions

PermissionWhen it is askedWhy
Photos, add only (iOS) / storage on Android 9 and olderThe first time you tap Save to PhotosTo save your finished artwork as a picture. The app can't see your other photos.
NotificationsOnly after you tap Turn on on our own card (shown after a few finished pages, never in Kids mode), or from SettingsTo tell you about new pages and collections.
Tracking (iOS)Once, in grown-up mode, when ads are switched onSo ads may use your advertising identifier. Saying no still gives you ads, just not personalised ones.
InternetAlways (no prompt)To download coloring pages.

The app doesn't ask for the camera, the microphone, contacts or location.

Sharing your artwork

When you tap Share, your device's share sheet opens and you choose where the picture goes. That app then handles it under its own privacy policy. In Kids mode, a grown-up check comes before the share sheet.

Children

Crayon Coloring Pages is made for all ages and is safe for families. Kids mode shows no ads and asks for no tracking or notification permission. In Kids mode, purchases, sharing and links that leave the app (such as this policy) sit behind a grown-up check. Ads in grown-up mode are limited to content suitable for general audiences.

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information reached us, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

There is no account, so there is no profile to view or export. You can:

  • delete artworks in My Art;
  • switch notifications off, which also tells our server you opted out;
  • change your ad choices in your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iPhone), or through the consent form where it applies;
  • uninstall the app to remove everything it stored.

To ask us to delete the notification data our server holds for your install, write to us with the device code shown in Settings → Notifications. Contact us with any question.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what data is used, for example by adding optional accounts, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the effective date above.

Older versions (1.x)

Version 1.x of the app, which some devices that can't update may still run, worked differently:

  • It registered the device with our previous server using a device identifier.
  • Its optional "photo to coloring page" feature uploaded the chosen photo, which was processed by an AI provider (Google Gemini) to create the page.

Version 2.0 removes these features. It doesn't upload photos and doesn't send device identifiers to our server. The previous server remains available only so that older versions keep working until they are retired.
